Then we got out of its way.
Altezza is a small travel brand built around a single hardshell carry-on and the handful of accessories that genuinely belong beside it. No size for every occasion, no colour for every season. One piece, refined until there was nothing left to remove.
Why we started
Most luggage is designed for the shop floor.
It photographs well, it looks convincing under retail lighting, and then it meets a baggage belt. The wheels are the first thing to go, usually within a year. After that it's the handle, which rattles long before it fails, and the zip, which fails without warning at the worst possible moment.
We took the opposite approach. Start with the parts that break, over-build those, and let the rest follow. A polycarbonate shell that flexes instead of cracking. Wheels that spin under load rather than dragging sideways. A handle with no play in it when you pull. These are unglamorous decisions and they are most of the reason a case survives its fifth year.
What we didn't do is add sizes. A second and third case would be easier to sell and harder to justify — the 22 x 14 x 9 inch carry-on is the size that boards, and the size that covers the overwhelming majority of trips people actually take.

How we work
Direct, and slower for it.
Every piece ships direct from our production partner to you. There is no warehouse in the middle, no distributor and no retail markup — which is how a case at this build quality lands at $395 rather than double it.
The trade-off is time. Orders take one to three business days to prepare and ten to twenty in transit, so you should expect eleven to twenty-three business days in total. We say that plainly on every product page rather than burying it, because a surprise three-week wait is a worse experience than an honest one.
Shipping is free on every order with no minimum, returns are free for thirty days from the day it arrives, and the carry-on carries a five-year warranty on the shell, wheels, handle and lock.
Fewer, better things.
The accessories exist for the same reason the carry-on does. Packing cubes because a shell case packs better in compartments than in layers. A leather tag because plastic ones snap off a belt. A tech pouch because the cable you need is always the one at the bottom. Nothing is here to fill a category.
